Race car trailers tires are one of the most important components to maintain on your race car trailer.  Two types of tires are generally used, bias ply and radial tires.  Bias ply tires are created by taking number of layers or "plies" of fabric cords are embedded into it. Each layer is laid in an alternating diagonal pattern on the bias of the bead cord. The degree of the bias varied between manufactures, running between 30 degrees to 55 degrees to the bead cord.  Radial tires are made in the same way with steel belts and off set at a 90 degrees.

The main advantage to radial tires is that they will last longer than the bias tires.  The key to proper tire wear is alignment and inflation.  Check your tire pressure before every trip to ensure maximum tire life.
